5:00, 9:00. It is raining. For Jews and Muslims, the time of prayers is coming. In a moment, the gates of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher will be opened again. Because Christians have argued for centuries about who is master of the church, a Muslim family keeps the keys. Scientists believe that the Church of the Holy Sepulchre actually stands on the rock of Golgotha. Golgotha means place of skulls and was the place where crucifixions took place. Whether the tomb of Jesus was also located here cannot be proven. Faithful Muslims pray five times a day. Now is the hour of the morning prayer. Also for the students of a yeshiva, as Jewish religious colleges are called. Here, mostly male students devote themselves to the study of Torah and Talmud. 42-year-old Ofer Yagan is married and the father of seven children. His shift at the Jerusalem garbage collection begins at 6 a.m.. Before he leaves for work, he cleans up in the family living room what his children left behind the night before,because he doesn't like mess. He also prepares a bag of fruit for each child.
