For Caleb and Camille Fang, their performance art is above everything. Even their children become part of their daily show and have to submit. Years later, Annie and Baxter, whose lives have been decisively shaped by their earlier, partly traumatic experiences, return to their parents and are immediately to be harnessed against their will for one last big act. But then Caleb and Camille suddenly disappear one day. Everything seems to indicate that they are dead.
