Early 70s in Paris. Charles, a young man in modern Paris, who no longer considers a decent life possible in the face of the ever-increasing destruction of the earth in the name of progress and people's inability to communicate, falls into a deep depression. After a failed relationship with Alberte, he turns to Edwige a little later. But this relationship is also very unsatisfactory for him. He therefore visits a psychoanalyst, who mockingly advises him to seek help if he wants to commit suicide. In the end, Charles has himself shot in the dark of night at Père Lachaise cemetery by the drug-addicted Valentin for a lot of money...
