If children don't learn from an early age that people are different, when will they? The documentary fi lm focuses on four children from the inclusive elementary school "Berg Fidel" in Münster. For three years, director Hella Wenders accompanied David, Jakob, Lucas and Anita at school, at home and in their free time with her camera. While the idea of an "open school" is currently the subject of lively debate, the children have their say in this sensitive portrait film. They tell us about themselves and share their dreams and concerns. The viewer experiences impressively how naturally they interact with each other and participates in a small world that functions in a miraculous way. "I can't hear well and I can't see well and that's just Stickler syndrome and a syndrome is something where something is different from birth, but it doesn't really bother me. I can still run pretty much as fast as Niklas." David, student from "Berg Fidel
